Funk-O-Matic is proud to announce that the second CD is finished! This long awaited release is currently available at live shows on I-tunes, Amazon MP3 and CDBaby. The new, thirteen song CD is entitled "So TRUE" and features some new talent with a fresh twist and flavor. Funk-O-Matic is continually evolving. The new sound on "So TRUE" offers a fresh blend of flavors--where old-school rap and funk meet pop r&b with a sprinkle of new-school hip-hop. The Funk-O-Matic band provides a strong edifice for rapper M.C. Trees to stretch across boundaries with "wordsmithing" that is positive and clever. Funk-O-Matic is still considered the freshest installment in the old-school funk scene and genre. It's all about the synthesizer bass, the groove, the party and (of course) the ladies. Imagine that 70's old-school sound--combined with contemporary neo-soul beats, catchy lyrics and high energy vocal elements. It's all here in this amazing funk project and their second C.D. release entitled "So TRUE." Funk-O-Matic was created by three soulful veterans of the live, sixth-street funk scene in Austin. After being signed to the Razz-Ma-Tazz label in 2008, members of Funk-O-Matic immediately began the intense collaborative process--bringing their favorite musicians together with L.A. producers in the studio to create their first international funk release "Hit the Floor" which excited funk fans everywhere (from L.A. to Amsterdam and back to Minneapolis). The second disk promises even stronger production, deeper grooves and catchier hooks--so much so, that we know, this funky product will please music collectors and party people around the globe.
